MAPP gas - original composition is methyl acetylene- propadiene 44%， propane 56%，In the spring of 2008, true MAPP gas production ended in North America when production was discontinued at the only remaining plant making it. Current products labeled "MAPP" or “Map pro” are in fact MAPP substitutes.

In China, Ningbo Koman’s Refrigeration Industry Co.,Ltd is the legal owner of Mapp Gas trademark, also the first company who develop the optimized formula of Mapp. During three years’ research, we compared the feature and performance of dozens of fuel gas and additive, finally we determine the formula as it is now, and got the China patent.
